Best-in-class suppliers recognised by Foremost Golf Industry Awards

Foremost Golf, the U.K’s largest retail and marketing services group, revealed the winners of the prestigious Foremost Golf Industry Awards, as voted for by a record number of Foremost member professionals.

Chris Glenday, Foremost Approved Supplier Manager, commented: “Congratulations to all the worthy winners; on behalf of the whole group I would like thank them for all the support they have given to our members this year.

“We’ve had another fantastic year, and it’s a testament to the strong relationships Foremost creates between brands and our members that so many of our suppliers have repeated as winners year-on-year.”

PING was awarded the highest honour of Supplier of the Year for a remarkable 11th time in succession, illustrating the close relationship between the brand and Foremost’s PGA Professional members.

John Clark, PING Managing Director, commented: “Our relationship with Foremost is very important to us and to be once again recognised as Supplier of the Year by the members is a testament to our commitment to providing outstanding service and support for green grass professionals year after year. It also says so much about the ongoing performance of our clubs and the commitment of our caring employees to serve our customers.

“2018 was a fantastic year for us so I would like to thank all the Foremost professionals for their continued loyal support of PING, we look forward to achieving more success together in 2019.”

PING also took home the Iron Model of the Year award for the fourth year running, with the highly popular G400 model proving itself as extremely favourable within the Foremost community.

The 2018 awards were also a great success for Callaway Golf; as it claimed three awards. The Rogue driver range was recognised by the group as the Wood Model of the Year, in addition to winning Most Innovative Product of the Year, a year after Callaway’s EPIC range won the same title.

Odyssey claimed the Putter Model of the Year for the 7th successive year with its O-Works series beating PING’s Sigma 2, TaylorMade’s Spider Tour and Scotty Cameron’s Select range.

Receiving over 80% of member’s votes for Trolley of the Year, Motocaddy’s trolley products proved successful with the group’s professionals as the brand’s S1 model collected the award.

Acushnet brands also won big with Foremost members as Titleist’s Pro V1 scooped the award for Ball Model of the Year and the Vokey SM7 was voted as Wedge Model of the Year, marking the fifth successive victory for the Titleist Vokey brand.

Once again, Foremost’s exclusive shoe line has been recognised by the group’s members with the FootJoy Contour-FIT winning Shoe Model of the Year – another triumph for the Acushnet group.

Implementing yet another strong campaign that pairs so well with the group’s extensive digital and in-store marketing, Under Armour continued its extremely strong relationship within the group in 2018   by being awarded Apparel Range of the Year for the third time in a row.

Also victorious for the third successive season, Proquip’s Pro-Flex exclusive line product was recognised by the group’s membership as Waterproof Model of the Year, with the innovative Pro-Flex Evo outerwear range earning the support of members.
